How we do itG21 CEO Elaine Carbines talks about the Regional Growth Fund and the funding opportunities it provides to the Geelong region. Video courtesy of NEWS Geelong. G21 has gathered the G21 region's most expert and influential people in eight fields of interest to prioritise and progress regional projects and issues. These experts become members of our "Pillar Groups". They meet on a regular basis to consider the regional issues and projects submitted by the people of the G21 region, in a collaborative, co-ordinated effort to deliver the Geelong Region Plan. The G21 Board of Directors draw upon the priorities identified by the G21 Pillars and explore ways to implement those projects that are of greatest priority to the region, these are therefore known as G21 ‘Priority Projects’. They do this largely by engaging G21 Pillars, member organisations, media and the community to influence potential project funding and support bodies. Projects, issues, and opportunities are continually assessed and reassessed by the G21 Pillars and the Board. ![]() |
