People across the Geelong region currently have a unique opportunity to help shape planning in the Geelong city centre for the next 30 years.
A refresh of the planning approach for central Geelong and a guide to future land use and development in the city centre is being prepared.
Victoria’s Minister for Planning has referred a draft of the Central Geelong Framework Plan to an independent Central Geelong Framework Plan Advisory Committee. The committee is to review the draft and proposed planning controls and provide the minister with advice on its merits and possible improvements.
As part of its process the committee is seeking submissions from the public to assist it prepare a final report.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning has prepared the draft framework.
Written submissions can be made until Wednesday 7 July 2021. You may also wish to present at the hearing of the committee.
