The Pillar discussed the logistical requirements, date and structure for the conduct of the” Community Forum on Education Achievement and Retention”. It was agreed that the Community forum be scheduled for late August, early September targeting community leaders in the region.
Georgina Ryder DET, Manager Stakeholder and Regional Support provided an informative overview of the various government policies and structural changes occurring within the Victorian education and training system. Some of the key changes include a Back to Work Scheme, VET Funding review, a proposed new DET Operating model and strengthening DET Regional relationships and support.
