Have your say
The Department of Health are seeking input from community members, organisations and stakeholders on the Health and Human Services Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan 2022-2026 for consultation. They want to hear your views to help develop a plan for the next five years that will enable the Health and Human Services system to support adaptation to a changing climate.
The Health and Human Services system is already impacted by climate change through more frequent and more intense extreme weather events. Decisive action to adapt now will reduce current and future risks, build social and economic resilience, and ensure Victoria is best placed to take advantage of emerging opportunities.
The Health and Human Services Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan 2022-2026 for consultation, proposes 14 strategic actions that Victoria’s Health and Human Services system can take during the next 5 years to address current climate change impacts, reduce barriers to adaptation planning and action, and lay the foundations for transformational adaptation.
The Department of Health and The Department of Family Fairness and Housing (the departments) will collect and use responses to inform their Health and Human Services Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan.
Consultation closes 6th August 11.59pm.
