Kitjarra-dja-bul bullarto langi-ut (Barwon River Parklands)

PROJECT / First Nations Conversation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kitjarra-dja-bul Bullarto langi-ut (Barwon River Parklands) is an initiative to increase public access to the unique environmental, cultural, and recreational values of the Barwon and Moorabool Rivers.

It extends from the Moorabool River at Meredith through to the Barwon River in Geelong and onto Barwon Heads.

Green open spaces are vital to community wellbeing and with a rapidly growing population, the demand for access to parklands is increasing.

A master plan is required to develop detailed designs for infrastructure and initiatives that will create better connectivity, improve accessibility and enhance the environmental, cultural and recreational features of the parklands.

This project is recognised under the First Nations – Culture & Heritage Priority Project.
