The Making Change project (as funded by Creative Victoria’s Creative Neighbourhoods grant and
auspiced through Geelong Arts Centre) commenced officially in June 2023 with the appointment of
the Making Change Manager, Stacie Bobele.

Making Change: A Creative Industries Strategy for the G21 region 2021-2025 recommended a more
strategic and coordinated approach between public, private and not for profit sectors to benefit the
development of the region’s creative industries.

Guided by the core principles of the strategy and direct feedback from members of the creative
community, the framework for this two-year project has been developed with the goal of a more
connected and sustainable creative community.
