G21 Priority Projects 2012

The G21 Board has identified fifteen Priority Projects that will contribute to an improved quality of life and wellbeing in the G21 region and are therefore the key focus of G21’s activities.

As the strategic value of projects varies, prioritisation is required to assess where resources may be best invested. The expertise and experience of the G21 Pillars is called upon to assist in the prioritisation of regional projects. The collaborative project prioritisation process applied by the G21 Board and each of the G21 Pillars involves assessing projects against criteria including:

  • Social, environmental and economic benefits
  • Strategic alignment with objectives and policies of the G21 Geelong Region Plan
  • Leadership and human resources
  • Likelihood of funding.

The eight G21 Pillars continually identify Priority Projects to be endorsed and supported by the Board.
