Colac Otway Shire is seeking input from the community and stakeholders on the development of a Colac Civic Health and Rail Precinct Plan, which will address land use and infrastructure needs in the precinct.
A coordinated plan is required to revitalise and redevelop the precinct, which will help stimulate investment in the area and attract new business and government organisations.
The plan, a G21 Economic Development Pillar Project, aims to improve access and connectivity through the area, with engagement seeking to identify the community’s vision and aspirations for services and facilities, such as COPACC, the Colac Train Station, Colac Otway Shire council offices and the Colac Hospital.
The vision aligns with the Colac 2050 Growth Plan which aims to grow to a population of 20,000 and will be developed in partnership with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Colac Area Health, the Department of Transport and VicTrack.
