The Armstrong Creek Urban Growth Area boasts three regional size active open spaces. Development of two of these active open spaces is required to meet the immediate demands of this growing community.
Implementation of social infrastructure at Armstrong Creek will develop a community that is economically, environmentally and socially sustainable and provide an opportunity to set new standards in best practice urban development.
- Armstrong Creek East Active Open Space (18ha) – plans for the development of football / cricket ovals (x3), netball (multi-court facility x9), soccer (natural turf x3), tennis complex (pavilion and administration base x1) and tennis courts (x18). Construction launched (September 23, 2017).
- Armstrong Creek West Active Open Space (18ha) – plans for the development of soccer (natural turf x5), hockey / soccer (synthetic turf x4), tennis complex (pavilion and administration base x1) and tennis courts (x18).
Detailed planning for these active open spaces has been undertaken. Funding is required to complete the project.
