The Creative Industry Strategy for the G21 region provides a framework for a more strategic and coordinated approach between the public, private and not-for-profit sectors for the development of the region’s creative industries.
The strategy aims to inform and guide government and industry priorities, investments and initiatives to achieve sector development, economic growth and employment.
This project has three parts:
- A report on the creative industries in the G21 region
- A five-year creative industries strategy – Making Change
- A Case for Support, creating the opportunity for investing in the creative industries in the G21 region
The creative industries sector employs 8.1 percent of the Australian workforce with recent data showing that employment in the creative industries grew at three times the rate of the Australian workforce (The 2020 A New Approach report).
A task force will oversee the strategy’s implementation.
