Golden Plains Food Production Precinct
The first precinct in Victoria dedicated to intensive agriculture production, the Golden Plains Food Production Precinct is a regionally significant employment precinct set to create $160 million in investment and more than 700 jobs over 10 years.
The precinct is a 4,000 hectare area of privately owned farm-zoned land, located west of Lethbridge.
Recently impacted by an outbreak of avian influenza (bird flu), support is required for businesses directly and indirectly impacted by the outbreak to help with economic recovery and the prevention of outbreaks in the future.
The precinct also needs better telecommunications, three phase power and support from RDV to encourage business expansion and investment in the precinct.
