G21 PILLARS / FIRST NATIONS CONVERSATION

The First Nations Pillar will provide a central place to come together to develop a Regional Voice for First Nations peoples. As a region we need to be ready to participate at:

  • local level, to protect important sites and nurture a stronger, local ecosystem of educational and commercial opportunities.
  • state level, with the Treaty discussions and Yoorrook truth telling commission underway.
  • federal level, with a referendum on constitutional change to create an indigenous Voice to Parliament and other reforms coming.
