Armstrong Creek Aquatics Centre built in time for Commonwealth Games (see below in sport and recreation).
$30.4 million for an Ambulance station in Armstrong Creek. Up to $20 million towards the North Bellarine Aquatic & Leisure Centre (Stage 2). Two new primary schools in Armstrong Creek – Warralilly Park Primary and Horseshoe Bend Primary. $1 million for planning towards a new secondary school for Mount Duneed. New dog park in Armstrong Creek. $7 million for a new SES Bannockburn facility. 400,000 to support the Bannockburn Scouts.
$1.5 million for the Teesdale Recreation Reserve. A portion of $10m commitment would be allocated to begin planning for Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals in Colac and Torquay. |

PUBLIC TRANSPORT LINKS | A $170 million Geelong rail network, offering commuter services to Werribee, Colac, Bannockburn and Bell Post Hill. This would include new stations at Bell Post Hill and Bannockburn, where a new track would be built, reopening the rail platform at Moriac and bus timetables to adequately match rail services. Fares on the network, would be set at $2 per trip.
V/Line fares across Victoria will be halved for at least four years as of January 1, 2023. V/Line train replacement bus services will be free. |
Promise to cap the cost of a daily ticket on the Vline network at $9.20 for a full fare or $4.60 for a concession – the same price as a metro daily fare.
Myki pass holder fares will be capped at metro rate of $5.52 per day. $1b package to increase weekend services in Geelong to every 20-minutes between 8am and 9pm on weekends, and see some of the 23 new VLocity trains replacing older trains on the Geelong line. |
